Since 2016, ARM has grown from a single act of obedience into a global relief and development ministry. Here’s the story, the people, and the strategy behind it.

Our methodology is straightforward and incorporates a spiritual dimension. We believe true change begins from within, guided by love, prayer, and discipleship. This triad shifts focus from self to God’s purpose, fueling and sustaining lasting transformation in individuals and communities. Through our programs, we are restoring hope, rebuilding families, and rekindling purpose for the glory of God.
Abundant Relief Mission Inc. is exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3). Donors may deduct contributions made to ARM under IRC Section 170. ARM Inc. provides programs for victims and advocates reform after ignorance, harm, injustice, or exclusion. ARM Inc. encourages individuals to cooperate and contribute to their own well-being in a manner that is meaningful and consistent with their highest potential. We believe people flourish best not when things are done to them, but when they are invited to participate in their own restoration.
ARM Inc. plans and runs mission programs and events that offer practical responses to challenges, encourage innovation, connect people, and support the organization’s objectives and mission. Information shared without action is just noise, so every event and program we run is built around a next step, not just an idea.
ARM Inc. strengthens communities by empowering women to serve, supporting family restoration, and nurturing the emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of children in need. Through essential community programs and meaningful social engagement, our initiatives help reduce isolation and build stronger connections — because isolation is often the soil that other struggles grow in, and community is often the first real intervention.

ARM envisions vibrant, self-sustaining communities of faith that serve as beacons of hope throughout Africa and beyond.
All glory belongs to God. Everything we are, everything we have built, and every life we have been privileged to touch flows from His mercy, faithfulness, and love. From brokenness to adoption, from peril to peace, from disobedience to devoted service our lives are a testimony of what God can do when ordinary people say yes to His call.
Pastor John and Francoise Ronel are ordained missionaries, church planters, and the founders of Abundant Relief Mission Inc. (ARM). Together, they bring over thirty-five years of shared ministry and four decades of marriage to this work, a partnership forged in faith, tested by sacrifice, and sustained by the grace of God.
In January 2016, John and Francoise planted Oaks Fellowship Church in Wichita, Kansas, the city’s first church established specifically to serve African immigrant communities. From the very beginning, their vision was not simply to build a congregation, but to build a community: a place where immigrants, refugees, and overlooked families could worship God in their own languages, access practical support, and experience the unconditional love of Christ.
This vision would not have been possible alone. The Ronels are deeply grateful for the partnership of SEND Network and NAMB, the leadership and generosity of the Heart of Kansas Southern Baptist Association (HOKSBA), the faithful support of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, and the foundational investment of First Free Evangelical Church whose collective commitment made Oaks Fellowship Church a reality and sustained its growth through years of faithful service.
On October 20, 2024, Pastor John and Francoise retired from active leadership of Oaks Fellowship Church, where they were honored with the title of Pastors Emeritus. But retirement from one chapter only opened the door to the next. Hearing the Lord say, my work with you is not finished, the harvest is abundant and I need you in this season; they founded Abundant Relief Mission Inc. to broaden and deepen their outreach beyond the local church.
ARM is a Christian missionary movement dedicated to four pillars of community transformation: promoting Holy Matrimony and healthy family life among young believers; sharing Christ’s message and meeting the practical needs of homeless and neglected children; empowering women of faith to serve God and their communities; and advocating for the most vulnerable those living at the margins of society who are rarely seen and too often forgotten.
